Why people put water temp sensors in the top rad pipe I have no idea, it's totally and utterly WRONG. Ever seen a stock set up with it anywhere but in the head, or a casting directly feeding the head, ON THE HEAD SIDE OF THE THERMOSTAT? No, because anywhere else is WRONG :) And EGT probes ideally want to be at the confluence of all header pipes, right at the turbo, on the engine side of it. Whilst number 6 runner may be considered by some as the one likely to see the highets temps, it means a fault making number 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 run hot would go un noticed. It's all but impossible to read all 6 on a stock TT, but on a single the probe should be at the turbo, (and made of Inconel).
