Shelsley Walsh is the oldest motor sport venue in continuous use in the world. First used in 1905, it is older than Indianapolis, Le Mans or Monza. Brooklands has been and gone, but Shelsley Walsh is still here, as old as the sport but as modern as today.

Breakfast Club

The MAC Breakfast Club is held once a month at the historic Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in the Teme Valley on the outskirts of Worcester. The Breakfast Club is open to all, whether you are a car enthusiast, member of the club, motorsport mad or just like going out and meeting friends, Shelsley Walsh is the place to meet. As well as seeing a wide variety of cars old and new, you can also see the restored water mill in action, walk the hill and visit your Yard of Tarmac.

There is no entry fee, the gates open at 9am and close at 12pm with breakfast served in the Stratstone Restaurant for a very reasonable price.

All we ask is you register you attendance so we know how many to cater for, the dates for this year are as follows:

* September 9th (Sunday)

* October 14th (Sunday)

* November 11th (Sunday)

Anyone interested? I'm not sure if I can make the 9th Sep or not, but I'd like to go to one of these in future.

Postcode is WR6 6RP - Google map link

anyone go to this meet steve?

Yeah - me and my one year old! Enjoyed seeing all the cars and walking up the hillclimb route, I've never been before but thought it was very atmospheric and a great morning out, the icing on th cake was the beautiful weather, scenic countryside and lovely roads to & from the place from my house. We're definitely going back again, even though its just a relatively small and very random collection of cars, I loved it. :) Oh, and breakfast was lovely!

I will pop along to this on the next date. Would've done today had i seen this post sooner....

Excellent :)

went a few years back,full of bloody snobs.

Well, I thought it was a great morning and everyone was very friendly - even though I went in my 406! :) I had a nice chat to a chap about his 911 GT3 RS and another guy with a classic 911 convertible who's dad followed him in his 944.

I'll get some pictures up...

Its a driver school day...take your own car up the hill!!

I thought i would have a little practice in my Evo ready for next season

I meant to say - let us know how you get on! Having walked it, I'd quite like a stab at driving it now. :)

So come on then - what's it like driving the climb? How did you get on?

Sunday 14th October; who's up for the next breakfast club?

  • 2 weeks later...

I've just realised I've mixed my dates up (in my head - everything in the thread is correct) - I thought this was this weekend but it's not, it's the day after DragonCol. I think I'll be all driven-out, but will see closer to the time.

Who is considering going to this, next Sunday (14th Oct)?

If it's dry maybe I'll still have a cheeky nip out to it and back home again, even after DragonCol. ;)
