Hi Guys,

I have just bought a second hand RLTC unit with the analogue controller which was previously fitted to a BMW M3.

I assume that it will have to be reprogrammed to suit my car (6speed running PHR street turbo setup, AEM, 19 inch wheels etc).

Is this done simply by flashing it with a suitable DAT file or does the whole lot need to be recalibrated from the beginning.:help:

Make sure you have each input wired correctly. You can upload a DAT file.

If you pm me your email address I will send you the one I use ;-)

I have read all the instructions re wiring into the injector wires, ABS, speed sensor etc but I was unsure about the actual software part of it.

Is it simply a matter of flashing it with a suitable DAT file then making sure it knows which wheel is wired to which channel?

Once you connect everything up you plug it into your laptop.

To check its wired correctly jack the car up and spin each wheel in turn. You should be able to see a trace on the laptop when the wheel is spun.

Once you have checked this simply load the DAT file and enjoy!

They will also self calibrate if you do a tight turn with it in calibration mode. I do them round the front garden if it's dry, which amuses the neighbours, and frightens the moles. It's in the instruction book and works fine.

I think you need a dongle for this don't you Chris?

Mine was done the other way as it was purchased 2nd hand and didn't have the dongle bit.
