hob
How come there are hardly any Uk Supras (apart from red automatics). There are loads of imports but hardly any uk ones, Im really after a maunal silver UK TT, should I go for an import instead? Will I get a cheaper better spec one than from the uk? michael
There must be loads of them around, everytime I look out of the window I see one Estimates suggest that around 600 Supras were sold in the UK and most were autos (for some reason people wanted that then despite the desire for manual now). Factor in maybe 50 dead ones due to them being written off and a few that have 'gone missing' and yes you'll probably find they are quite rare If you want a silver UK manual and you want it now buy an import, if you are willing to wait have the money ready and prepare to travel at the drop of a hat..... (Why have you decided on the UK?)

chilli
I read that it was 623 sold in the uk and most were autos. I wonder how many have been written off now anyway. Get yourself a j-spec 6 speed manual - and if you're lucky it might have some goodies on it too

michael
Insurance, its 35% cheaper not getting an import. It's not always the case if you ring around as many companies as possible (tried the club insurance scheme?) but on the whole I found it cheaper to insure the UK *folds arms and smiles at £600 insurance bill*

chilli
Didn't cost me any more to insure a j-spec, just shop around for the best deal. Certainly don't let it sway your car purchasing decision , just get some quotes before hand... Plus with the hudge choice of imports your more likely to find exactly what you want, rather than compromising on things
tbourner
Get a jap and the money you save can go into the insurance. Within a year or two you'll either have crashed and died or will have more no claims and get a better quote!!
