No the screen is fixed, a small cover of some kind would be my suggestion. It really is a very nice player, the touch screen is cool and the picture quality is very good. That was where i was today when my car broke down The Pioneer model is a European only model so not available here, my supplier has equalivant Pioneer models which are region free DVD and have same functions, etc. just different model number.
