Insurance and nitrous question

Right looking at installing a Nitrous kit next year, would i need to declare it if i only have the bottle connected when at the track?

I am wondering if the worst should happen and i do crash if the insurance see a nitrous kit fitted but no bottle they will assume i have been using it and void my policy, does this sound correct?

Take the bottle out?

Thats the plan, but i would still need the bottle in the car to travel to an event, even if the bottle is not in then all the wiring etc will still be present they could just say i took the bottle out after i crashed.

Why not ask the chap from Sky, i think you could be on dodgy ground as they could say it was in there

and you removed it after the incident !

I'd definitely want something in black and white from the ins comp just incase

I will be speaking to my insurance in the morning to see what their position is on all of it.
