StuartW Posted November 19, 2011 Share Posted November 19, 2011 Hi i just sold my TT head complete with the HKS cams all shimmed up My plans have now changed and im going BPU from 710hp single, so i am after the following TT Cyl head 1st and 2nd de cat Possibly a restrictor ring depending on what size the de cats are? Scott Posted November 19, 2011 Share Posted November 19, 2011 I have a head & cams that I could be persuaded to part with. I used some of the shims though so the cams would need checked and the shims ground to suit (They ones that I replaced are oversize). No cam sensors and the top studs have been removed (the ones that hold the cam covers on) so would need replaced with new. Not sure on the value though so wouldn't know what to ask for it. Probably easier to sell. High profile single turbos are difficult to insure sell etc, BPU cars are far easier. Breaking a car down to the shell is a bit of a pain, breaking off the single turbo parts and converting to BPU for a sale is far easier and you will make similar money That's just a guess though. Scott Posted November 19, 2011 Share Posted November 19, 2011 Took some pics as promised mate. As you can see I haven't touched it so it's still exactly as it was when I took it off. IMO it's never been off before as the crap that's around the spark plug holes would seem to suggest lol. The valves look pretty decent from the outside, obviously will need the carbon removing etc for a proper assessment but looks OK to me. I just put the buckets and shims back in, so they are in no certain order. 2 of them were missing so I only used 2 in my build (replaced with the ones I took out). Given that the car has apparently ran for 15 years with the same springs etc on though I would say it will all need re-shimmed to be bang on.
