Tuan
Hi, I bought a cheap set of stock 16" wheels a while back, and was hoping to put some winter tyres on them soon. The wheels and current tyre sizes are: Front: 8x16 with 225/50/16 Rear: 9x16 with 245/45/16 I've looked around for winter tyres but they are difficult to find in these sizes and v.expensive too - probably not the best size/profile for the winter either Can anyone please advise me on what winter tyre sizes and combinations would best suit these rims - hopefully this will give me more (and cheaper!) options? Thanks, Tuan
TubbyTwo
Have you looked at Camskill? buying brand new I wouldnt expect to find many decent winter tyres for LESS than £100 a corner.
Neil-NA
For the rears have a look at 245-60-16 or 255-50/55, i am always looking on ebay for 16" tyres and there are quite a few sets that crop up, not too sure on the front. Just remember the speedo will be out.
qwarrior
You can get Kumho KW27's delivered for £94 for the front in 225/50/16 from mytyres.co.uk. I've had these before and a pretty good tyre, provided your sensible in the wet and snow of course. Not sure about the back's funny size to get a hold of.
