TT Paul Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 right getting parts together poped to toyota, belt £30 p/n13568 tensioner pulley £70 p/n 13505 tensioner £70 p/n 13540 my question is do i need to change tensioner item 13540 as most kits on ebay etc only come with belt and pulley. around £50 and at nearly £200:rolleyes: from toyota i know its a important part of the eng but does the tensioner need doing or are they after sales.. any advice thanks.. Scott Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 The tensioner bracket & pulley wheel are the same ones as the ones on ebay. Just get the kit with the timing belt and bin the timing belt Just get the OE belt from Toyota You don't need 13540 if it isn't broken. As long as when you lean on it (full weight) it doesn't go in then you are fine. Make sure you align the hole before fitting it though as fitting it by screwing it into place will over stretch the timing belt. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
