Chrono Po*n

I've become very interested in watches over the last couple of years.

I sported a Breitling Aerospace for a while but I sold it in 2009.

I also had a Dubois et Fils 1912 Chronographe 18ct white gold case with a Valjoux 7751 movement.

However times have changed and spending too much money on a watch is a thing of the past.

Recently I bought this. It was cheap and looks ok for the money.

And then I bought this last week.

It uses a Seiko VK63 quartz with a mechanical stepper attached for the chrono function (mecaquartz).

I like it, it has good wrist presence, I love the pvd finish on the case and I'll post up some better pics if you're interested.

My next one is something German, quite different and when I've got it I'll put some pics up. I don't want to tell what it is yet as they're on back order and I want to bag one first! :D

I'm not sure what the last one is, but its clearly heavily influenced by German pilots watches from the 1940's, and is stunning  The Christopher Ward C8 vintage aviator looks similar----ish.

Details as soon as its safe to post them please :D

The Dubois et Fils 1912 Chronographe is beautiful, what price range?

That was over £2k

I would have kept it but it came in a 39mm case and lacked the wow factor for me. Looked better in pics than on my wrist and I flipped it fairly quickly.

I've also got a Panerai Homage and also a Seiko SX007J sitting in my drawer as well.

In a conversation on t'phone with t'mother tonight, she told me that there was an underground Rolex factory in Dartford.

Oh nooooooo! Not more "underground" bumwash from Dartford, underground tunnels, underground arms factories, underground gun emplacements etc etc, Dartford is just a hub of bulls***, it seems nearly everyone there either worked underground, knew the Krays or "Kenny" Noye or lived in a house built on an old plague pit.

Now I would assume that all Rolexes are made in Switzerland, but iut does appear there was a Rolex factory here http://g.co/maps/mj2nh recently subject to a planning application for new houses, so it must be due for demolition. Can this be true? IN Dartford of all places?
