Well got the aerial unit out, realized there was the chrome nut thing on the outside of the car that had to be un-done.

:stupid:

Branners there's a major grinding nose coming from the aerial unit when I turn the stereo on or off any ideas?

also made a trip down to halfrauds to see about a new unit, the one's they had were twice the size in length in comparison, so it looks like a trip to toyota for a new one, I think i'm about to get ripped off:(

anyone replaced there's with anything else other than a toyota one?

cheers

I think I've completely fcuk'd it , thought something inside the unit may have become dislocated so decided to open it up, next thing as I 'm pulling the black back and front parts of the unit apart, this long nylon (I presume this is what you mean Ibrar) with teeth on it comes flying out.

Ibrar do I need unit know, or is this the bit that i need to replace, if so can you e-mail/pm the instructions on how to do so please.

thanks
