Havard
I "think" my dad bagged a bargain yesterday. After having a brush with a Mercedes E Class that was around £2K we saw this S type on e-bay with no reserve..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/S-TYPE-JAGUAR-3-0L-/140519848389?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item20b7a2b9c5 We had 3 hours left on the auction and had time to go and see it and have a wee drive. Ste D went with my dad as I was busy at work but from the sounds of it the car is solid, one bit of rust where there was a small scratch (my mate will sort that), needs a new drivers seat ideally as this one has a rip in it but besides that it's ok. Rang Dannosupra who used to work for Jaguar and pointed out the things to look for etc. Apparently the engines are bomb proof but the suspension can be a bit tempramental. My dad only wants to run it for 6 - 12 months and then get something a little more economical. He has always wanted an S class though. It's good to know people who will help you and give you a lift when you need it... Thanks th Ste D and Danno..!! H.

Havard
Just having fun and games getting it insured now as my dad still has a SAAB 93 on contract hire till the end of the month. Anyone know of companies that will do temporary insurance for a couple of weeks? H.
