Scott
Great buy for someone... however I would suggest you do a search on the HKS "filter" bud. They are terrible. PS: Did the coileys come?
speedophile
no coileys yet must be the snow, should be here tomorrow..... oooooh what would you suggest on a good filter then mate
Scott
no coileys yet must be the snow, should be here tomorrow..... oooooh what would you suggest mate on a filter mate K&N are regarded as the best. I like Apexi. At the moment I have an Arc induction kit, which is FANTASTIC, but it's expensive. The HKS filters don't really filter anything. They look sporty and they sound sporty but you would be as well with a set of tights over your intake.
davej705
I changes the HKS mushroom on my impreza for a k&n and they are much better IMO
Dnk
As said HKS filters are pretty crap, stock airbox is the best but if you have to have an induction kit then the Apexi filter is one of the best and ive used them for years. Have a look on http://www.frsport.com thats where i got mine from

Kilps
Balls, this sold quickly! At the moment I have an Arc induction kit, which is FANTASTIC, but it's expensive. I have an Arc one at the moment too, it came on the car. I want to change it for a standard airbox because I read somewhere that the best combination is a standard box with a K&N filter... is this a good move? Also, do you know where you can buy replacement Arc filters? Mine is filthy! Sorry to pinch the thread. I assume you won't mind now this is sold anyway. Tell me if it's a problem n I'll p!ss off. Take the filter out and soak it in petrol to clean it. Make sure it's dried properly before putting it back in I think it's absolutely fantastic, I love it. Best aftermarket filter for the TT IMO (It bloody should be for that price). I would like to make a custom surround at one time to seal the box away from the engine temps. IF you believe what Chris Wilson has to say then the stock filter is actually best.
