Uniroyal Rain tyres

edge

Recommended Posts

As i do 50k plus miles a year i get through lots of tyres and as its a lease vehicle they put whatever tyre is best value at the time.

Original tyres from factory continentals and had them for 15k miles and just had a set of uniroyal rain tyres fitted and they are superb in the wet and probably the best so far in the last 5 years or 250k miles worth of driving in the daily drive.

They seem to give good grip in the cold weather but are very predictable when they loose it.

So just an idea when you fit new tyres to your daily drives. ;)

Not sure how much they are but if a lease company ok'd them they cant be a budget breaker.

When I used to buy and drive decent road cars I found Uniroyals in general a very good tyre. Their rain tyres are indeed excellnt, my Volvo has one on the LH rear, and a Pirelli something or other on the RH rear, in the wet I have to remember which hand corners can be taken with some speed, and which most definitely cannot :) I don't think I have bought a new tyre for a road car in 10 years :)

That's good news, and it's good to have some reliable alternatives to the more popular makes.

I've got Falken 452s all round now, and I must admit, they are absolutely fantastic in all weather conditions, and better than the Goodyear F1s I used to have. Cheap too. :)
