Might be a better idea (if the turbos on your blown/ current engine are in good condition) to swap them with the ones on the new engine since u never know the condition of turbos on used engines until u actually start using it. Just my thoughts!

A brand new short block is £1800 from Vortex...

As Alex says your best option would be to fit a new short block, this would effectively give you a brand new engine for similar money as a replacement second hand engine install.

Speak to Vortex or import from MVP in the US see traders section.

Short block £1800

Thats a bargain, toyota want £2500+vat just for the block, no pistons etc!!

Check out MVP price just over £1280ish, it would probably cost you the difference though getting it over to UK, £1800 from Vortex is a very good price.
