I got a facelift TT6 at the beginning of the year, I paid £10k for mine, it's a low mileage one, but unfortunately needs a respray as someone tried to use a buffer on it and recked the paint, underside is great and very clean with no sign of corrosion and mechanically(apart from a sticky ICV that needs a quick clean) it is very sound, dashboard has a couple of marks on it.

I will admit that I rushed and could of probably got one a bit cheaper but it wouldn't of been by much, a facelift TT6 will go for £9k plus, immaculate ones go for £11k-12k

That perfectly encapsulates my quandary - I don't want to rush and buy what is potentially a duffer; equally, patience is not one of my virtues. I am more wary of the reduction in price though - it could be eight grand for something that turns out to be a shed, or it could be eight grand for an absolute minter.

I think I might wait it out and place my faith in Mr Vallons. Pay cheaply, pay twice and all that.
