Suggest a car

Recommended Posts

My GF currently drives a 2.0 Rav4 which although very practical its not the kind of car for a 21 year old.

She is looking at cheap cars sub £1500, small engine, reliable, good MPG, cheap insurance group, small enough so she can drive it, but big enough so we can take the dog out, weekend breaks etc.

Been looking at old Honda Civic's, late 90-early 2000, but she has also suggested a 206, nothing smaller.

I would like her to buy Jap, but i suppose its her car so anything goes.

Any suggestions.

Cheers.

Small dog or big dog?

If it's a yappy type dog, a Fiesta would suffice?

Staffie that gets over excited when anywhere near a car but then doesn't seem to like it once in, so will have a car harness on or maybe a mesh/cage in the back.

Don't touch anything French unless it is brand spanking new and you don't need it past warranty.

Personally I would be looking for a Yaris.

+1 from experience - unless you are planning to run it to the ground and salvage it. I would recommend Yaris as well or Polo.

Exactly what i was thinking about the French cars.

She is saying a Yaris might be too small boot wise, i really need to go look at some.

Got a good 5 or so cars to check out, although i am pushing for the Civic.
