I found a supplier for a part for my TT that is based in Scotland.

They do not accept paypal and want payment over the phone via credit card.

Is this normal practice?

Yes, they have magical machines too that can process the payment, all run by electric light power..... tis the work of the devil I tell ye :D

Wouldn't you worry about strangers having your card details? I.e. Someone at the end of the phone could go crazy with your details online.

Am I being too paranoid?!

So long as you phone them and they're reputable, there's no problem.

IMO, yes a bit too paranoid. There's always a chance that someone will abuse your card number, but that threat is always there, e.g. when you give your card to a waiter in a restaurant to pay for a meal.

Hahaha alright, alright.

Just paranoid as my friend bought a £10 item over the phone two months ago and got £3,500 cleaned out of his account from a seemingly reputable eBay seller!

Thanks guys.
