To be honest I think you don't realise what your getting yourself into . 700bhp is just a figure . You said yourself not long ago you knew nothing about now you know a little. With respect to your mechanic how do you know he is up to the job of building a 700bhp reliable supra.

"IF" I had the money to do it , I'd be going to SSI in Northern Ireland for advice and the work to be carried out. Not some mechanic who will work for beer. Probably your best mate and ye have probably watched all of the fast and furious movies together whilst being covered up in Vin Diesel bedsheets, but you really should be going to someone with vast experience of doing these to help you avoid doing it twice.

I don't think you realise the headaches a project like this can cause. A good friend of mine currently owns a massive spec r34 gtr v-spec nur edition skyline and has spent an absolute fortune in upkeep alone since buying it. More power to you if you have the money and perseverance to pull it off. In my honest opinion though it would seem your doing it more for the kudos factor of having a 700bhp supra.

Hi alll,

I currently own a 400BHP TT Auto.

I am considering going from Auto to Manual and from TT to Single Turbo. There is a method to my madness - I want to gain 700+ BHP.

Sorry are you looking to go to 700 or 1100BHP?

1100BHP will be interesting...

Either way why the arbitrary figure? What are you going to use the car for? Are you just looking to say you have a 700/1100 BHP car or are you looking for a fast street, drag, track car etc?

Do you really want 700/1100BHP? What sort of torque do you want with that? I mean you're probably looking at a build engine and all the associated time/costs/teething issues of getting to that power level.
