Just had a full service done on the car including all fluids and new platinum plugs. Also needed timing belt doing an 2 front shocks replacing.

Had a nice final bill of 800 quid [sHOCK][/sHOCK]

Bit more pricey than my old vectra!

Stupid question but im guessing the timing belt is the cambelt??

Any idea what shocks they put on the car?

If you break it down, you didnt do too bad with your £800 bill

- shocks £70 each for cheapies, KTB's etc

- cambelt about £200 fitted

- spark plugs about £60

- engine oil and filter about £60

- if its an autobox about £35 for a "short change"

- diff fluid about £35 for decent stuff

- toyota coolant is about £40

Not too bad at all

Did you check if you got the sevice book stamped .You'll need this when its time to sell the car ,the new buyer might ask for a sevice history .:search:

I never get the book stamped. I did buy a book for my last car, a toyota supra service book.....but then I thought it just highlights the fact that you have no idea how the car was serviced before you owned it so never used it.
