Lowering question(s)

Stateside MKIV here, I've lowerd my car with Pro Kit and am rolling on 245/40/18 and 285/35/18. The problem is when I turn while braking, or hit certain bumps on the road or exiting a parking lot that's steep, my front tires rub, but I think it rubs on the top and not the side because I can't see any marks. For those of you that lowered your cars, did you leave in the bump stops? I left in the rear but not the front because I was told it would make the ride bouncy. TIA.

Well I don't generally turn at full speed, and i don't brake to almost a complete stop before turning. I didn't know US Supra owners weren't welcome here.

Nobody said you were not welcome, that is not the policy of this club, we are a friendly lot.

It seems a little slow as, for one we are either at sleep or at work.

Also one of our good friends of the club has suffered a bereavement and we are all sad for his loss.

Try a search on our forum, there is bound to be someone who has encountered this problem!

Best wishes, from across the pond!

Thats not the case fella, you guy's are alway's welcome here. The reason for the lack of reply's is probably down to little experience over here of lowering the Supe that far. Our roads, in general, are pretty bad so we tend not to go that far with the lowering. Don't get me wrong, we have plenty of lowered cars over here, just not that far. Having said that there may be someone on here who knows something about it but they haven't seen your post yet

Welcome to the board by the way and we need to see pics of your car. :sly: :D

Yes pics would be good, for the lowering problem and just cos I wanna see it! :D

Mine's recently been lowered on Tein SS, but probably not as low as you guys can go - Portsmouth (where I live) is a PITA for bumps and pot-holes!!

Needless to say I haven't encountered rubbing on mine, maybe I will when I get my 245/40/18 and 285/35/18s on next week! :p
