Scutch0
Hey guys, I need some advice, my n/a is leaking petrol from around the cap area, it only seems to happen when I throw the car about a bit down the lanes, and I get a trail of petrol down the panel below the cap cover. Keron has supplied me with a good condition cap, but it's still doing it! Just did it on me way back, I assume there's a join from the filler area to the feed pipe, is it likely to leak from there? Or is there a breather in the cap area? Any ideas?
Scutch0
anyone? probably gonna have it apart tomorrow morning, but any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
chrispot
hi is it definatly petrol, as i would have thought that as the petrol is pressurized it would leak all the time if there was a problem, from what your describing it could be a breater pipe on the cam covers, regards chris

Scutch0
Yeah, that's right it's actually comeing out of the filler neck!
stevie_b
Sometimes the filler neck on cars can corrode and become perforated. I've never heard of it corroded on a supra though.
Scutch0
Had a look today, all sorted now. The metal insert that you screw the cap onto wasn't clipped on properly. Thanks for the input guys!
