Guest MoeBlunt
Not really because that would be putting soooo much stress on the rim itself causing it to crack...
T2 MSW
Marginal difference to the rolling distance of the wheel and a minor impact on the calibration of the speedo. Ive run a 35 profile on the rear on 19's and according to the GPS it was still about as inacurate as with the corect profile Not really because that would be putting soooo much stress on the rim itself causing it to crack... Eh ???

Ok, the lower the profile of the tyre the more impact will be on the rim itself. ie. the higher the profile the more "protection" it offers the rim... Eg. you hit a pothole, in a high profile tyre you won't exert any real impact on the rim but if you have low profiles you will exert a lot more force on the rim raising the possibilty of fracturing/cracking it... although this won't be such a big difference because its only a difference of 5... T2 MSW
It wont make a huge difference your right but the correct profile should be 30 is all im pointing out. Its actually 10 as its 5 higher on each side of the tyre so increases the rolling circumference of the tyre. If you up the rim size by an inch you need to reduce the tyre profile to maintain the rolling circumference. Its all academic really as different tyre manufactures are all different. Toyo R888 dont do a 40 profile in the front on 18's which apparently is down to the it being a percentage of the tyre width.

T2 MSW
Toyos are over rated! lol Have you any experience to back up your claim? On the dyno they are crap ill give you that. On a track I have been really really impressed with them.
Guest MoeBlunt
Yup, I've taken R888's and F1's around a track and they are both very similar but the F1's give more grip in corners than the R888 and offer 110% more grip in the wet!!
Guest MoeBlunt
Bumpage!!!! Fronts are still up for sale!!
imi
offer 110% more grip in the wet!! that i can believe as the R888 is not designed for those conditions, however am surprised at this...... Guest MoeBlunt
Well, I was surpised too to be honest! It's just something about the F1s that gave me the extra umph when going into the corner or coming off it... Maybe its the stiffer side walls on the F1s? Try them for yourself!
