Guest danny220
Hi hello and all that. I have a 93 N/A supra it's had a new clutch (RPS) about a year ago. I've changed the slave cylinder recently but my pedal still sinks to the carpet when I push the pedal in half way and I get a squeaking noise from outside the car when pedal is pushed repeatedly. Any suggestions? Edited November 29, 2009 by danny220 (see edit history)
devan
Same. Very annoying, tried rubricating various parts, but to no avail.
Kirk
Sounds possibly like your release bearing is doing the squeaking as for the pedal sinking to the floor id suggest checking your clutch hardline, flexi hose and MC to makesure you have got any leaks
trinitom
could be a dry gearbox “fork” i had this on my integra, and now on the supra. very annoying!
Kirk
could be a dry gearbox “fork” i had this on my integra, and now on the supra. very annoying! yes thats a good point, very common for this. Quick spray of grease usualy shuts it up that wouldnt cause the sinking clutch i dont think, almost sounds like the system has air in it kind of like a brake pedal when the lines are air locked

Guest danny220
System was bleed again still same problem! can't seem to find any leaks and the fluid levels haven't changed. Might just buy master cylinder and take it from there
Rinus
If the padel stays at the bottom of the carpet, then I think the problem is in your master-cilinder... Had the same issue and changed everything except for the master, and still had the problem... new master>>no problems anymore

Rob
Next time your car is up on jacks/stands, crawl under from the nearside and you will see a small rubber boot where the clutch lever enters the bell housing. It has a little rectangular "portal" in the rubber boot, spray some bike grease in there from time to time to prevent the squeaking.
AlanM
Ok thanks will order one from work on Thursday..... Good old employee discounts I say lol Speak to CW first. When I had this problem (burying in the carpet) he suggested a smaller bore slave cylinder to cure this. Worth speaking to the man

icemanv6
I had my clutch and release bearing done about 6000km ago, when I push the clutch in after a while it makes a similar sound as to when you pull the bonnet hatch, but not as loud, like a clunking sound, is this similar to what you experienced or not? Anyone else?
HadeS
I know it might not sound good but as some one said about "fork" I treated mine with DW40 and a bit of oil just when you go through rubber near of gearbox. Got no problem at all and clutch is still good after doing 2000miles
