Hi all,

I am going to be droping in my new TT engine in a week Saturday.

I was just thinking that i never used the aircon in my old TT with a hard top how often am i going to use it in an aerotop. What do you guys think i should do? fit it or just take it out and save weight?

Thanks

Leave it out and save weight and power.

This IS england after all, you'd only need aircon one or maybe two days in the year anyhoo!

I'd say leave it out. We have to cherish the Hot days so i'd rather roast in the car than waste the extra fuel by turning the aircon on.

Out of interest, how does aircon demist the windows quickly? i thought the heaters did that?

Air con dehumidifies the air, try it next time your screen fogs up and watch how fast it clears.

This is why when you press the front screen button on the controls, it automatically puts the air con on.

I didn't use mine a lot in the summer, When it was hot I mostly had the roof off. There were occasions though when the roof was on I appreciated having a/c. So personaly I would keep it as your not going to save enough weight to notice the difference.
