Ian C
Ian , How come you are only letting her top out at 1 bar ? Im hoping to run mine at 1.3 - 1.4 ? ? Did you even look at the graph? I don't know, all that trouble wrestling with Excel and he doesn't look at the graph I run 1.2bar at the mo because I've been concentrating on mapping the midrange. Hopefully this weekend I'll try out 1.4 -Ian
Chiefgroover
T04R has been replaced by the T04Z. It's a T67 sized turbo...so you'd see performance similar to Ian's ie in 6th 1bar at 3300rpm.... this I like to hear! I suppose if i am going single then I better do it so I get a large power increase so it seems like money well spent. OK, lets aim for 600rwhp if possible with the fastest spool up. Anyone know about KKK's with titanium shafts?. Terry exactly what kit is that price for? which singles are you guys running? I was thinking the cast manifold way as I think they may be quieter / more reliable?

Matt Harwood
I've got a T67 tubular BL kit on my car, the same as Ians, and I love it. Yes there is a little lag, but thankfully with the car being manual, it's easy to drive around any lag. That's not to say auto's can't be modified to get around this problem, they need a high'er' stall torque converter to help overcome the lag, due to the lack of gear ratios. I've also driven Terry's T61 equipped car, and I have to say, this is probably the best all-round turbo'd car I've ever driven. It may be slightly down on power at the top end compared to a T67, but the virtual lack of lag, makes it a very potent car. I've also driven a T88..... Didn't like it.... At all.... But in fairness, it really needed a LOT of work done on the fuelling/mapping side of things. From what I've seen, the mapping/ECU side of things can count for a lot when trying to eliminate lag. Chiefgroover
Just to complicate things a little, what about the Blitz KT3? info is very scarce bar they need some fabrication. If Blitz want to sell these in big numbers I think they'd need to look into a decent fitting kit. Maybe i should get a run in Terrys car? Would 720cc injectors be a good compliment? I use a 2 piece CW decat what downpipe will i need?
Bobbeh
Isnt that kit the one they used on the Nurburgring car? Twin turbo setup?

Couple of things Mr Nice, it isnt strictly a T61, and it goes a WHOLE lot better now we found the vacuum leak;)
Chiefgroover
vacuum leak, eewww i have one of those, God only knows where, when there are so many pipes, the car haunts when trying to drive it slow around town.
Matt Harwood
Another advantage of going single. Vacuum leaks are much easier to find. Terry, OK so it's not quite a T61, but it's still a comparitively, (sp?) small turbo..... And I need to drive it again now the leak is bunged, to test that everythings working alright

I use a 2 piece CW decat what downpipe will i need? 720's are good If you get a complete kit it should have the downpipe and centre section. The CW centre section will still fit though, but it may be smaller than the other pipes. The decat downpipe almost certainly won't fit. -Ian
