Get a quote from Adrian Flux, then go back to Sky and see if they will drop their quote. They did for me.

Most insurance renewal quotes are high, not just from Sky. It's because some people will just pay without thinking about it (I think). A bit of shopping around and some price-matching is required.

Sky gave me a very nice price after I did the above. The renewal quote was laughable compared to what I paid.

Most of it is down to your POSTCODE.My first year of Supra ownership cost me £760 with Sky (47, never claimed, NA), when it came up for renewal, they refused to quote me, so went with Bell for the princely sum of £943.

This year, have managed to insure with Norton on a Classic Policy as its only a weekend car, for £340.

Some of the premiums on young guys on here driving TTs and singles beggars belief from a Liverpool perspective.

Just to add with my £276 fully comp on a TT model

Thats with 3 mods allowed so I told them of the HKS F-Con, Veilside full bodykit and wide arch fenders and the HKS exhaust.

I'm 28, no points, 7 years NCB, car is garaged at night with a Toad Cat 1 with proximity sensors and tilt sensors added.

It may help that I am an advanced driver.... but an IAM certificate normally only give about a £25 discount.. its not much and sometimes it even goes against me!! It has on other cars!

  • 3 points for speeding
  • fully comp
  • insured to drive anyone elses car
  • i do have pass plus
  • all with a TT 1993 manual import

all for a lil £370 ;)

I'd double check that's a MKIV you've got insured and not a mkiii.
