downimpact
I'm looking to test drive and potentially purchase a car on the weekend. I'm struggling to find a car insurer that will do short term cover for an import with a couple of mods. I'm just under 30 which may also be a factor. Anyone make any recommendations? Thanks
Swampy442
I had the same problem with short term cover on my Soarer. Best thing I can suggest is try Sky, theyre the forum Insurer, maybe they can suggest something?

ozz
One alternative - I think its HPICHECK, run a check on the car and they will give you free 7 days insurance...
DSK
Budget also do short term cover as well. However I think generally insurers will insure for a month (or a week at least) rather than just ad-hoc days.
Soop Dogg
These are who I use. http://www.insuredaily.co.uk/ Sky directed me to them No good for modified vehicles. From their website: Eligibility & Acceptance Criteria The statements below must describe your circumstances correctly > > > Vehicle Modifications Vehicles fitted with manufacturer specified optional extras, fitted at the time of manufacture are acceptable Vehicles modified to cater for a disabled driver or a disabled passenger are acceptable All other post manufacture modifications (cosmetic or performance related) are not acceptable
downimpact
found another solution though not so good unless you're quite sure about buying the car. Just started my insurance and I can cancel with 14 days with just a £30 admin fee, same difference
