adi2009
HI, I have finally completed my engine swap NA--TT but having some trouble with the TT engine. The J-spec TT engine seems to have good power in low revs but completely loses power in higher revs. I have never driven a TT supra so far so dont know how it is supposed to feel in higher revs. could this be a problem with the sequential turbo's??? anything particular i should be looking at??? Cheers adi
mikeyb10supra
Check all your hoses are tightly attached
Suprasteve
are you not getting the pull of the 2nd turbo at 4,000 rpm ? does it struggle to get to redline ? checking all the hoses is no 1 thing to do. look here for info.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35926
adi2009
Thanks for your reply. Well unfortunately the NA supra's Tachometer doesnt work with the TT engine so i cant exactly tell at what rpm this is happening. well definately there is no pull in the higher rpm and i am quite certain that i am not hitting redline. will check out all the hoses tomorrow. Chris Wilson
What boost figures are you seeing at low, medium and high RPM's?
Soonto_HAS_soop
I bet £5 no boost gauge. LOL!! As said, the first thing would be to get a gauge and check the boost level to see what it is, or at least that you are getting some. Then check all of the hoses and the intercooler pipes. Double check anything that you have played with when fitting the eninge, such as wiring to the ECU etc etc etc
