Lazarus
Isn't there some problem with these as regard to shattering? the only reason I ask is when you look at the disc the grooves all end up at the bottom of one of the "waves" and that goes against all my training in engineering, ie the grooves creating stress risers at the weakest part of the disc. Of course the other reason is laying out on a roundabout close to where I live, there is perfect segment of one of these disc's just lying there where it broke exactly in accordance with what that engineering knowledge said it would. tbourner
Maybe just for show use. Any disclaimers on the site you haven't seen?
Nic
You are kidding, right? By all means stick them on you're Chav Fiesta, but on a Supra capable of doing 180mph+
Scoboblio
I really wouldn't bother mate... stick to large well known and respected brands when it comes to brakes. I messed about with the disks on my previous car (grooved + drilled, the latest fads etc) and never had anything but trouble with them.

terawua
If Chris Wilson sees this thread I think he will keep over and die.. and then he will turn in his grave. I seem to remember him berating anything brakewise which lbling over bang. Stick with OEM, or OEM equivalent- it is the best. period. toyota designed it that way for a reason. terawua
Hmm, dont think you would last long if you called a Civic weilding Triad a Chav, then again maybe you might as he may not know what it meant. So you havent been 'invited' to join then with such a fine automobile then Nic, or is that the plan, a fast getaway?
terawua
This is what Chris Wilson said in another thread..... 'Use stock OE discs. You neither need, nor probably want, grooves, holes, funny surface treatments or colourful packaging from obscure parts of the globe. A plain, quality grey cast iron disc is best, spend the money on pads and fluid. The ridiculous star shaped discs that look like some sort of Oriental weapon are just so technically BAD as to defy comment'
Jake
Stick with OEM, or OEM equivalent- it is the best. period. 1995 J-spec TT 6 spd UK brakes (Rotora slotted discs, Red calipers with ricer brembo decals Goodridge lines and CW fast road pads) Cura te ipsum ( just kidding mate)
