dandan
and a silly play with ecu switches Probably not a good idea.....
Tricky-Ricky
Sounds to me like you have been getting the TRAC control butterfly confused with the throttle butterfly, the TRAC butterfly should be fully open, and will have no effect on things (other than its function) unless there is a fault. legendswraith
This sounds very much like my problem i had with the aristo. Does it seem like its stumbling or hesitating hugely on hard accells? When mine was doing that it turned out to be the fuel pump had pushed off the fittings and i wasn't getting full fuel pressure at the rail. Might be worth a check there is a set up procedure for the TPS Chris Wilson set mine up so he may be a mine of information on that front
wilkorangerover
i can hear the fuel pump whirring away, when engine running As i alter the throttle position sensor it changes the running every time. Not sure if its set up correctly yet.
wilkorangerover
press the accelerator and instead of the usual roar from a supra , theres nothing but pausing going of
legendswraith
Can you bring the revs on gently upto max rpm, but when you floor the pedal it just seems to bog down and go nowhere? My pump was making all the proper noises as well etc just wasn't delivering the pressure.

wilkorangerover
but there is a certain revs (1200) where the engine just dips and splutters maybe ecu ?? f-con with flicking the switches
legendswraith
Sounds just like my problem, disconnect the pipe to the rail and see if you are getting a torrent or a dribble. Its crude but if the pumps to blame it will show up straight away.
wilkorangerover
all fixed by myself (saved a potential big bill) i just had to reset the hks f-con pro and link it up to my throttle position sensor(30 second job) when crusing round the afr is 12.4 soon as you floor it its 10.9 so happy, its been getting me down , ps no more playing with ecu switches japfest here we come (hopefully bringing the t88 supra as well) The garage (dicksons, perth) i bought her from had put standard plugs in the car now with the right plugs/new oem o2 sensor , it seems to go a lot better!
