carbon fibre bonnet

has any one had problems with blotching appearing under the skin of their carbon fibre bonnet, i have been in touch with seibon and they tell me it is a common fault cos the heat of the engine, they told me to wet sand the surface and then get it recoated, any one had to do this?

we have a 'cloudy' effect forming just above the lights, but told that some decent polish would get it off,

my friend has it bad on his bonnet and the spoiler it looks like a cloud under the surface we have polished it Duse go but reappears about 2 weeks later and have to be done again. fingers crossed my has not gone this way yet

I get the same sort of problem, I would describe it as going dull thou.

The dullness is the uv reacting with the clearcoat, but blotching, maybe production fault/ imperfection

It seem to be a reaction to heat, as it will stay polished if I don't drive it, but the first time I drive it any distance you can see the dullness starting to reappear.

 

As far as I am concerned it's just part of owning the bonnet
