RobD
I know they use the same engine as the supra but what about gearbox's props and diff's ? Also if the diff is the same do they have models with lsd? Been looking at buying one but weren't sure if i could swap everything over! Can pick Aristo's up for very cheap prices , i've seen 2 twin turbo ones for around 2k now and both are close to me! I know they do a auto box and a 6 speed but aint sure if there the same?! And also maybe a 5 speed box?
PJ
No manual option was ever available for the Aristo, they were all Auto's and Yes the Supra does use the Aristo engine, but there are some subtle differences most of which can be overcome easily and most bits are interchangeable. You get a Torsen LSD in Aristo's which can be confirmed from the VIN plate, you'd be wanting one with A01B for that option. The prop and diff are different, but everything can be done with a little effort. I've got a Getrag in mine, with a few tweaks to the prop to get it mated up Also running a Supra water pump now too as well as a few other odds and sods

RobD
I love how supra's look and how eye catching they are! To be honest quick as they are / can be , Aristo's don't really do it for me!
Guigsy
6 speed + single conversion + 2k for the car = less than a BPU supra I dont think so lol. 2k + no idea, done properly 5-7k at least + 2k = 11k you get a lot of supra for 11k

I must dig out that pile of metal Terry S sold me and get that sold off, might be able to get some money back from that if a complete box is selling for £2k now
dangerous brain
I'm not quite sure either where this whole idea that it costs 7 grand to go single. Essentially you need an upgraded fuel system to include injectors, a fuel pump, a FPR, a way of controlling it, a turbo and a way of strapping that on. £500 will sort the fuel side out, There are alot of fuel control methods around for £600-800 with £350-400 to program. Turbowise you'll get a decent turbo and manifold for a grand if you shop around. The amount of used equipment about these days is amazing. There's also alot of kit around thats been bought and the persons not afforded to fit it. So lower end of the scale it could be done for 3k. Lower end of the scale there's aristo's gone for circa £1500. OK it would be dog end of the market but for £5k you could have a single aristo auto (i didn't say manual) for the same as a BPU supra. Also cars like mine come up at prices like mine went up for ie £5k already done.
