V12 lambo transplant.

A bloke near me has the same engine in a Mercedes Vito pick-up chassis, nothings impossible. Of course, that being said he has the means to allow him to wipe his arse with 50euro notes if he so desires which usually make frankenstien projects like this far more enjoyable

You would have to get rid of the crash bar and everything for it to fit which wouldnt be such a good idea.

With the lambo being mid engined it wouldnt work anyway.

Everything is turning in the wrong direction.

Then the engine is going to be "backwards" for the geerstick to be in the right place, which means it would then be front wheel drive.

So you couldnt use the supra's front wheel setup as its a rwd car. So you would have to throw away the entire supra drive train. front and rear. And make or get something from somewhere else.

Esentialy your going to have a supra with front wheel drive with a massive engine that handles insanely badly and cant put the power down, and to top it off has only one forward geer that probably only does 40mph max :p

Why? I don't use the rear seats of my sup anyway ;)

Guest supraboi

why are you wanting a lambo diablo engine in there anyway stick with the trusty beast 2jzgte and spend 13k getting the horses bigger with turbos intercolers boost controllers etc

that engine will just make it slower in general as it will weigh atleast 400kilos more than the supra engine and you will have to spent atleast 7-8k for engine to work rwd or put engine in back

plus a well tuned supra faster than a lambo anyway

Not strictly true as engines from front in-line RWD applications such as the Rover V8 have been fitted mid engined,FWD and transverse so anything is possible! Using just the engine from that Lambo and not the transmission would be possible as the engine bay is big enough but cant see the reason why as there is so much proven stuff for Supras anyway without the need to do this, plus Cowboy Beebop and TS have already transplanted Toyoya V8s and V12 anyway!

Why not source the gearbox/transaxle from a diablo as well, then set about making a mid-engined supraghini. Or fit the engine up front and mate it to a transaxle, a la corvette style. Get to it, never mind the begrudgers! If you build it we will cum. (not a typo)
