Scott
As above really, i'm planning on flushing the rear wiper and i'm just looking for any hints and tips on removing it. I don't want to just jump in with all spanners blazing. Thanks
AlanM
What are your worries on this? Quite straight forward - don't bother trying to sell it when you take it, nobody wants them ,,lol
Jake
Remove wiper arm. Pull off the plastic liner on the inside of the tailgate, the full thing right across the inside of the tailgate. Finally, unbolt the wiper motor and place carefully in bin.

Thats great, thanks. I have already removed the plastic liner from inside the tailgate. I guess i can just tape up the motor terminals and forget about them then? Krister
You need to unbolt the 28mm nut from the top if you want to remove everything.
DodgyRog
You can get a large rubber gromet from Halfords for the hole, but you will need to seal it with some silicone from the inside

Reckoned welding a plate in would be overkill and dangerous as its so close to the window.

Will hopefully get the hole filled in mine during the summer, going to get the strip brake light taken out and filled as well. Already removed the rear wiper and grometted it

There is no chance of damaging the rear window as long as they cover it before welding, if its done properly you only need a very thin scim of filler to get the repair spot on. Scott
Its off, was pretty easy once i figured out the bit covering the nut was a bloody cover lol. I was trying to unscrew the large nut without taking off the wiper first. Wasn't until i accidentally pulled up with the spanner that it flipped open. Anyway, job done. I'm going to recommend the plate. Even if its fibreglassed in it will do the trick better

I need to get a rubber gromet, because I don't plan to paint it in the nearest future. What size gromet did you get? I live in Denmark so I can't go to Halfords:(

Scott
I might need the motor from your wiper if you're selling... Sorry Matt, binned that a few months ago. Not sure what thread it was in but I remember a wiper motor being mentioned. Pretty sure it was a "bits for sale" type thread. HTH
