jamesmark
For a laugh unplug the bottom and break from 150 in 5 seconds. How close are to finishing it? Last time I say it @ Andy's it still had half an engine.
bodilx6
Is this UK or J-spec? I have been looking for my trac ecu (j-spec) but can't really find it. Especially if it looks anything like this.

Trac ECU sits next to the Engine ECU in the passengers footwell - same for UK and JSpec

I can see any harness, or plugs. Do I have to remove anything to get in there?

Do I have to remove anything to get in there? yes you need to pull the carpet back and remove the plastic foot rest to get to the ECU Two 10mm bolts at the bottom and thats it if I recall correctly. Is the car a manual or Auto?

T2 MSW
Thats correct you will need to remove the plastic trim along the door and unclip the carpet Just that the TRAC is used as part of the auto system and removing it on an auto can make the gear change very lumpy. bodilx6
Thanks mate... I would be happy to be free from pressing that trac button contantly. No worries with my ABS system, right? Only the tracktion control will be switched off?

T2 MSW
Do you have to umplug this when you have a FMIC fitted or can you disconnect elsewhere?? If you refering to the Active spoiler control unit that the first pic is showing then yes you have to disconnect it. If you dont then you get the warning triangle on in the centre of the dash. T2 MSW
No probs, if your fitting a FMIC then you will have to take the whole lot off anyway, so eveything thats part of the assembly for the front bumber the ECU for it (the top one in the pic above) and the switch, that way you can sell it as a complete unit and it will be worth more

jamesmark
Anybody? Simple answer is, do what you want it is your car. If you are looking for a personal opinion then I would keep it if remaining stock. If you plan to ruin your car (again my opinion) with a stupid bodykit, then do not fit it. If the car is only being used on the road or limited track use then I do not think there will be any performance/handling issues.
