jonshaw_uk
I got a pc that had a raid 0 setup on it. 1 of the drives failed so I purchased another drive and installed Vista back on it to get the pc backup and running. problem is now that im unable to see the drive in my computer. is there any way of trying to recover or see what files are left on the drive before I reformat to reuse it? Wez
Sadly not RAID 0 (striped disks) distributes data across several disks in a way that gives improved speed and full capacity, but all data on all disks will be lost if any one disk fails. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redundant_array_of_independent_disks
Thorin
Nope! I'd fit a third and go for RAID5 if you can, otherwise I wouldn't bother.
Pixelfill
It depends how the drive has failed. Some people have had success using another matching drive and transferring the electronics from the good drive to the bad drive. Mike
