TT Exhaust

Standard exhaust off my TT that has done 58k...you will notice that this has a centre section without any boxes:blink:...dont ask me why thats how i got it from import.

Cant say that it was any louder than standard..but maybe breathed a little better.

Please note their is a small flat/scuff on the underside of the tail pipe...this is not really noticable when fitted otherwise in very good order.

£60

Hi Movistar,

Interested but I'm up in the north of Scotland about 30 miles north of Aberdeen.

My centre section on my NA has a hole in one of the boxes which Ive repaired but it wont of course get through an MOT!

Can you advise if you think it would freight without breaking? and do you have a rough idea of cost.

Ta much, reason for looking at this is I'm presently out of work, so dont have too much available to replace the whole exhaust.

Cheers

George

Hi Movistar,

Very many thanks for the exhaust which I have received and am extremely pleased with it.

For other members, I can highly recommend Movistar as a person of integrity, honesty and a credit to the Supra board for the extra work he put into arranging transport of the exhaust to me in "sunny"(?) Scotland.

Its condition can only be described as A1 perfect, I actually thought it was a new exhaust when it arrived!

Due to the weather here I have not yet fitted it but have checked under the car and can confirm for others that the TT exhaust will fit a non turbo NA.

I'm looking forward to getting it fitted in the next week or two and take this opportunity to pass on my most sincere thanks to Movistar both for the exaust itself and for the efforts he expended on my behalf in arranging its delivery to me.

best regards,

George

Hi Again,

I have just fitted the exhaust bought from Movistar and can confirm that it is not much different in tone from the original unit.

For those interested in the "before & after", my original exhaust (car is a '95-96 NA Aero)had two separate "boxes" on the centre section and the usual end box at the tail.

The exhaust bought from Movistar was from a turbo and had a plain centre section(no boxes fitted) and what apears to be the exact same tail box as fitted to NA models.

I had to grind off the bolting at the centre sectio-to-Cat joint...they were rusted on, and on fitting the centre section only, I started up the car(no exhaust other than the Cat) and was quite surprised that the exhaust tone was not "loud and rasping", as I have heard from others who have fitted SS big-bore replacemnents, but had a tone very similar to a V-8!

Adding the rear box resulted in a slightly deeper "burble" between tick-over and 2000RPM than was previously present with the original exhaust set-up and what I would call an equivalent amount of attenuation from 2000RPM up.

I'm not sure if its my imagination, but I also feel that the car now accelerates much sharper than before, which may be due to the slight reduction in exhaust restriction from back pressure.

I hope that the above comments will help anyone else contemplating the changes I made, and again, my thanks to Movistar for the unit he sold to me.

Rgds

George(georigg)
