How can anyone give an opinion on this who does not look at it from an engineering perspective?

I have no experience with... lets say Yokohama tyres. So how could i give an opinion on them when asked knowing nothing about it.

:rlol:

common sense usualy prevails, :blink:shave away mate why ask on a car forum about damaging the most important part of the cars safety feature then, and then expect an engineers report

maybe cut one in half and let your common sense tell you how much you can shave off;)

Fuck sake. Just wanted to see if anyone had done it with UK calipers before, obviously not. Its a piece of piss on 3000gt calipers.

Ill get them measured up and see if its safe or even do able for that matter. If not 10mm spacer and extended bolts.

Cut a scrap one open with a band saw, and measure the casting thickness. Decide what you feel is a safe minimum wall thickness, allow for casting shift and pray. I was going to take an experts word on removing a knobble from a Skyline head port, but decided just having at a brand new head casting on this guys say so was a bit daft, seeing i had a scrap head and a band saw. Glad I checked, the knobbles were to give wall thickness over a water passage... Personally buying rims that fit would seem the best option :)
