It's true but not worth the effort. It's been discussed many times if you search for na-tt conversion. Most people simply swap the engines. stevie_b
You can fit a turbo: anything's possible with sufficient money. Look up "NA-T" on here. Turbos are not simply bolt-on options though, there's a lot of work that goes into modifying an NA engine to then have forced induction. When funds allow, you'd have 3 choices (apart from keeping the NA as-is!): 1) Convert the NA engine to a single turbo, known as "NA-T". 2) Replace the NA engine with a TT engine. 3) Replace NA engine with a TT engine, *and* then convert the TT to a single T. Hope that helps. . You'd need to budget several thousand pounds to do any of these options. adnanshah247
yep, get a proper tt lump dropped in and happy days. you can pick tt engine up for 600 but there totally nackered. a good quality engine would set you close to £900-£1100 and labour after that. you need all the plumbing, wiring etc. not a little job but if you know what your doing its not tooooo bad.
