hadyn
Im just pondering my options on what to do next with daily driver TT I dont want to go fully BPU and my spec is as follows: 2nd decat and zorst Blitz sus air filter MBC at 0.9ish bar HKS BOV Earthing kit Goodrich braided brake hoses, dot 5.1 brake fluid and j-spec brakes So what would you all recommend to do next? As said above I dont want to go fully BPU as Im happy with the performance (mid 13s 1/4 mike) and dont want to stress the turbos too much as they've done 140k miles!!! Im probably going to get a Carbing strut brace next with the brake master cylinder stopper.
L33
well i know a nice set of brand new hybrid turbos for sale to replace those poor tired 140k mile turbos

hadyn
What would you consider a suspension refresh??
L33
new coilovers, strut brace etc
michael
What would you consider a suspension refresh?? Where you take all the old tired stuff (shocks, springs, bushes etc) and refresh it with new bits to restore the car back to how Toyota intended. Or "upgrade" it with aftermarket bits. hadyn
Yeah but I personally think the Bilstein setup is perfect for a fast daily driver
michael
Yeah but I personally think the Bilstein setup is perfect for a fast daily driver I'm not disagreeing with you, what I'm saying is that healthy setup is often different to a worn / tired one - people report a transformation when changing bushes etc and having the geo done. hadyn
I thinking get the geometry done might be a good thing. How much does it usually cost front and rear done by a specialist?
RedM
A full suspension refresh would be right at the top of my 'to do' list. Have a read of this Ian C thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=119349 I'd love a car that handled like new.
CarlT67
I would have to agree with the UK brakes, I've been driving mine with the TT lump now and have noticed how ineffective and dangerous the Jspecs are when you drive even slightly aggressively, I've also managed to permanently blue my discs, so fitting my UKs on Monday
Nic
people report a transformation when changing bushes. It certainly is, best money I ever spent my car was to fit all new OEM suspension components.
michael
If only there was somewhere that things like this could be purchased at prices lower than Toyota in the UK.
Gazboy
If only there was somewhere that things like this could be purchased at prices lower than Toyota in the UK. Depending on the exchange rate you could get them from Toyota USA for less. Pick an Eastern state if ordering by phone due to time differences though.
