supra_si
Just opened bonnet to investigate splashes on the engine and noticed coolant seeping slowing from the radiator under the rad cap on the ceramic looking bit. So popped off to the garage for a bottle of radweld as i need to use the car for work in the morning. Has anyone else used it on their car before? Also anyone got or know of anywhere i can get a new radiator for an auto TT
Daston
I have a feeling its plastic around where the rad cap is so chances are rad weld will do nothing

Chrisbeast
I've used Radweld before on smaller less powerful cars and its been brilliant. I wouldnt really want to use it in the Supra though but will probably be ok for a very short term fix. Chris

Scooter
an old Chris Wilson quote "DO NOT use radweld or Barrs Leaks, they block steam holes in head gaskets, gum up heater control valves, blah blah. nasty stuff, OK for an old Sierra soon to be scrapped, bad news for a complex engine, Barrs Leaks even carried warnings about NOT to use it on Rover / Honda V6 as they suffered coolant flow failure when it was used." ie you may solve one problem but create others far harder to sort..... TLicense
Don't use rad weld. Fix the job properly. From your description it's either going to be a new rad cap or a new radiator. Stock radiators, which I would recommend, are available from Toyota. You may be able to get a second hand one from one of the breakers on here, but it may be only marginally better than the one you've got.
