Amir khan
Hi all now my exams are over i finally have some time to work on the car. So today i took my old bumper of and crash bar, and started to fit my bomex front. First let me add its not an original and i bought it out of the mold so had to do ALLLL of the rubbing down. The guy makes molds from originals so hopefully its quite close. So iv started to fit it and am strugling to get it to align up nicely with the wings, the bumper stops a few cms before. can someone tell me if this is the case on most of the bumpers or should i need to rub down a little more around the headlamps? Last questions, should i need to remove the undertray to fit this? and where do i bolt the bumper to on the sides? Iv seen a hole i can use on the bottom of the wing. Iv never done anything like this before, so any advice is great! I will attempt to get pics up tonight thanks all!
miko_supra
Bumper is attached on the top strip where the bonnet meets the bumper, two on each side on the front wings and on the wheel arch liners too. Post up some pics, i never had any issues fitting my bomex when i had one fitted
Guest CoolsBlue
remove the stock bumper, under tray and crash bar, remove the aluminium bar along the top that holds 5 pop caps (break these of and bin them) line up the bomex front and put some nuts and bolts to secure it along the top, now for the sides do any side first, therer should be 2 holes on each side that meets the wing, stick a bolt + large washer through the bumper and put the nut on from behind the wing, do this for the other hole, and repeat it on the other side, if the bumper dosent line up, go get a tub of fibreglass from halfords, glazing and a whole lot of sandpaper, also a sander would help

Amir khan
right after about 7 hours i have it all fitted, just need to drill the holes from the wing to the bumper, started to get dark so couldnt do it, Reason it took so long today is that i done all the sanding down by hand, as i dont have a palm sander yet I am pleased with the fit, its almost exact after playing around for a long time i got there, One very small imperfection is, the right hand side light fits very very tight in the corner, but this is very minor tell me what you think.. Next i need to fit my veilside skirts. trial rear. tints, 6"speakers,momo steering wheel and clear lense:D http://photos-e.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v336/241/24/502187288/n502187288_1334964_2027.jpg http://photos-f.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v336/241/24/502187288/n502187288_1334965_2441.jpg http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v336/241/24/502187288/n502187288_1334971_8012.jpg http://photos-e.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v336/241/24/502187288/n502187288_1334972_8437.jpg http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v336/241/24/502187288/n502187288_1334968_3650.jpg http://photos-h.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v336/241/24/502187288/n502187288_1334967_3242.jpg http://photos-f.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v336/241/24/502187288/n502187288_1334973_8848.jpg Edited August 26, 2008 by Amir khan (see edit history)
