Lbm
Any ideas of best (reliable/value for money) Laptop around £350-£500 mark. Applications would be- email, surfing and all the usual music and photo storage. Nothing mega needed to play games or design the latest F1 car kind of thing. michael
A pleasure Have you looked online at the offerings from people like PC World, Currys, Comet etc? At that price bracket you are well within their usual offers, they buy in bulk and shift them at relatively good prices usually.

As you know technology does move quickly and the last time I bought a pc was over 2 years ago. Just wondered what people off here might be in to And yes- I should have used the Search facility. Scott
As above, if i was spending the money thats what i would be going for. Vista lappys need 2gb ram IMO, a high end processor and if you can afford it stand alone gfx card. The rest kind of comes as standard nowadays. colsoop
You don't need a high spec laptop for your application. I think something like this would fit the bill, big harddrive, dvd writer for ripping your music and 3gb ram. http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=53C3
