gordy07
I had a near miss today i just came round an s bend and as i came out of the right hand bend there was a t junction on the left I was doing about 45(in a 60) and i seen a woman in a 206 estate thing waiting to turn right,i seen her look left but not right And fcuk me she just pulled out across my lane and into the other I slammed on the brakes till it felt like i was about to hit her and swerved round her missing her by a ball hair I was impressed with the supe but less with her Im not taking a dig at woman drivers but some people reallly get on my nerves Thanfully i just put new tyres on and it was dry,if it was wet i would have ploughed straight into her drivers door and i dread to think what could have happened Just thought id share that with you all cos i was quite shaken after and so was my wife and 3year old son. Carl_S
Good thing you had your wits about you, and had your car properly shod. I hope she was shaken enough by it to take care next time. I would have been driving at 60 most probably, a very close call indeed for you - and her.
Homer
A lucky escape. Had exactly the same happen earlier this year but the there was no room to get around. My car (thankfully not a supra) was wrecked, as was hers. Silly bint tried to blame me too, dispite her first words being "I didn't see you", the insurance companies saw things otherwise. In the long run i ended up losing out on it and with sub standard replacement.

sdavies
Having my NA back recnetly to drive before getting my single sorted (end of next month all things going well) - it seems that not a day goes by without someone trying to kill me!!! Did I miss the memo stating all asshats have to drive at Supras at maximum chav speed without due care for anyone's safety!?!?! I shan't mention the bloody deer that tried to become a permanent hood ornament this evening (not the monkjack type - but the big bugger!) !! Gah! Scott
Did she even notice you? Gets on my nerves when this happens, seems to happen with women more than men with me too. The really annoying thing for me is when guys do it they usually notice, women don't even acknowledge what has happened. I've had a woman pull out in front of me on a roundabout, i've screeched to a halt while on the horn and she hasn't even noticed. I'm guessing i'm going to be one of the very few to say i have pulled out in front of someone. Had a lapse of concentration when i first started driving and noticed at the last second, gave both the other driver and myself a scare but luckily we were both quick enough to avoid an incident. I waved apologetically and was extremely red lol. This was at around 10-15mph though, coming out of a very residential area, so you were quite lucky. RedM
The annoying thing about these types of incidents is that, male OR female, they will act like it was YOU in the wrong, often resorting to name-calling and hand gestures. Why do they do that? Is it some new evolutionary trait that the natural reaction to making a mistake is to aggressively blame the innocent party. Yes definitely, like the guy who was veering across a hatched island towards me, I could clearly see him rooting around in the glove box. He looked up at the last seconds, snatched the steering back and gave me a full armed wanker salute.
Scoboblio
Yup, it's always easier to insult the other person rather than admit to yourself that you've been stupid and scared the hell out yourself. I think there should be a new rule on the road: Anyone caught giving the much over-used w***er salute can be legally pulled from their car and killed. If you go around insulting random people without knowing who they are or what they're capable of, what do you expect will happen eventually? Glad to hear you and your loved ones are ok, hopefully the moron will look both ways next time.

I was on my way to a funeral the other day in the supra , going through the roundabouts at phoenix and some bint in a CRV pulled out decided i was going to hit her so slammed on the brakes and hit her horn ! followed by some delightfull gestures . I was like "what the f**k" "its my fault??"

Havard
I nearly killed a guy this morning in the Mondeo. Cars are double parked on both sides but you can still get two abreast, just. Came round a bend following a Peogeot 807 people carrier, I know there are cars parked either side but some guy had decided to use the side door of his parked Transit van on my left, he was stood at the side of the van and therefore our small amount of room was made a damn site smaller. Basically the Peugeot had no where to go as there was oncoming traffic, I saw the guy arch his back as the people carriers mirror nearly hit him. I only saw him at the last minute as I was too close to the people carrier at about 35mph. I swerved onto the other side of the road as there was a gap in the oncoming traffic. If there had been no gap then I would have probably hit him..... The guy had picked a really bad place to open his van and stand at the side of it but I was too close to the car in front aswell. Lesson learned, probably!! H.

There is no accounting for other drivers and what they might do next:rolleyes:
erol_h
the idiots driving the car is one thing but its worse when these idiots or on foot. On the way home from work and i can see this elderly man running down the street to catch the bus on the otherside of the road. I was doing bout 30 but i took my foot off the gas and suddenly with out even bothering to look in any direction apart from straight ahead he ran out straight into my path. I slammed on my brakes and came soo close to hitting him gave me a heart atttack thinking noo i dont wana hit him and he shat his pants too. He apologised and stepped back to let me pass but stopped and waited till he crossed as he neary killed himself the 1st time. If it wasnt an elderly person then i would of bloody gave him a piece of my mind.
