tbourner
If you ate food on the holodeck, surely as soon as you walked out the room the 'food' in your stomach would suddenly disappear? That's gotta cause some issues inside hasn't it?

JustGav
2nd attempt.... ....Curzon? Far to diplomatic for me Torias, the mischevious one who enjoyed life (With a split personality) Torias had something of a carefree attitude about life, considering it to be "too short to deprive [oneself] of the simple pleasures". Boy, I really am sad, I even have the technical manuals and schematics for the enterprise D and ds9 somewhere at home

carl0s
I suppose in theory the replicator could exist in real life. It would use up some kind of matter as fuel, but it might be possible one day!

Agreed, they have been able to create a syntetic DNA molecule, next step amino-acid, then protein and then......

(OK i know i am part geek but so are all you!) I don't believe that, because there have been a few bar scenes where the program was ended and everything disappeared, surely if it was replicated food/drink it would still be there when the holographic bowl/glass went?
