Marc
Got home from work today to find that some little scrote had broken into my garage where the supra is kept, car was untouched thank god, nothing stolen at all, lucky really as the car was open as i had taken the battery out to charge it. They have chipped a bit of paint off the rear spoiler as they have forced the garage door open. Think i may of got away quite lightly!

Guigsy
you need ot rig up an amp with a tape player to a switch on the door. when it opens it starts a tape of a dog growling loudly

Pig
good point I wouldnt worry about moving it, just make sure you secure the garage. If the car is locked and has proper security i doubt some scroat will know how to steal it.
AdzC
If the battery is off they won't be getting very far with it.
Scott
If the battery is off they won't be getting very far with it. Oh really?? U must have one of those un-stealable cars then Set up a loud trap for a little while mate, they may be back.
marcAB10
I'd say you got off very lucky, make sure you invest in some extra security measures.
Marc
i've pulled the garage door back into shape and made a removeable security bar that runs across the bottom of the door out of stainless steel with a close shackle stainless padlock, they have no hope, ive bolted the fixing brackets through the frame with coach bolts. they would have to pull the whole frame out with a truck! Scott
Or cut the padlocks. Sorry, there is only so many security measures we can take. Hopefully it was just chavvy scum trying to get your car and not people who know what they are doing. If its the latter there aint nothing you can do. People can steal any car they like, anything in fact, if they set their mind to it.

snake
you can buy a Garage Defender which fixes to the floor for about £40 it comes with its own padlock so you can't pull the door up. must post faster !!!!
Marc
you cant cut the padlock as i have made it impossible to get bolt croppers on it plus it is stainless, you would have to use an angle grinder,

Marc
i had a similar device on there to that, they left the padlock alone and cut through the mild steel plate bracket to get the door open, the padlock was still locked!

To someone who knows what they are doing they could do it in minutes, if not seconds. Again, i'm sounding negative. I'm not trying to be i just want you to be realistic. stevie_b
Did you have any tools in the garage? I've had a garage broken into in the past: I had the supe in there but nothing else. No damage was done, no attempt to nick the car. Most of the time it's chavs and other scum who are after an easy nick. These people aren't *usually* interested in a car with a Cat1 alarm.
