snake
How much is a STEAM car and how long before the water and the coal to fill it up gets taxed to death .If it does take off and lots off people get one, will the road tax be back dated to cover STEAM cars made from 1904. The tax band would depend on what colour it was .This would be worked out after they new which was the most popular colour. This would be aloud to change on a yearly basis.once they found out what was the most popular colour again. keancy
If the Prices keep rising like this I wonder how many of us will end up having to sell their Supras at a loss because nobody will be able to afford running 3L Engines.
Ewen
Bizarre isn't it. Its never been documented, but its theoretically possible to kill your wife by blowing up her vagina.
dangerous brain
Sell them?? you are having a laugh. If it keeps going up at the rate it is you won't even be able to give the damn things away. Just look at older V8 4x4's they are practically worthless now. A 97 rangey like mine I will have to pay someone to take it away at the rate of depreciation its got now. Where the big v8's start the trend the more expensive petrol gets the more cars will be affected. The second hand car business's must be getting crippled at the moment. I read in todays papers that if the proposed strikes happen there will be fuel rationing like in the 70's with sums of only £20's worth person per week being bandied around, that'll be interesting then. In fact doing some googling there is already rationing in force across alot of the country perpetuated by individual forecourt managers.

Guest DaphneHoneybutt
yeah i know, that's the thing though - it's just government tax over here, not the "arabs" Agreed! They never seem to mention the taxes we have to pay on fuel when they talk about the price of fuel on tv etc. Yeah its a problem the price of oil going up and yes it will affect the petrol prices but our main problem in this country is the high levels of taxation on the fuel - the government needs to drastically cut it but they won't do that unless the public mount some sort of mass rebellion! It cost me £74 to fill up my tank yesterday and that will last me for a week - all my money seems to go on fuel and cat food :-( Does anybody know if Supras run on LPG? or maybe chip fat oil - seen some people on the tv collecting it and doing something with it and then running their cars on it????? Probably screws the engine over time though

That would be an issue for me too since I have to travel 12 Miles to get Super Unleaded I only fill the Car up once every two weeks. £20 quid would be a total waste of time for me. Whitesupraboy2
So petrol prices shouldn't really affect you too much? Everyone lives to what they earn. You increase the price of something it will effect everyone, just obviously the more a consumer uses the product the more they will notice. Living to what you earn includes ' I will save £200 a month for a new house'. Having surpluss cash is money you can give away IMO.

Guest DrifterWanaB
The thing is its catch 22 If the govt lower the taxation level on petrol they just need to make it up else where The problem is scumm bags! if there was no crime, no one on job seekers through there choice to be, if the govt didnt have to hand out methadone etc, how many billions would be saved, meaning lower taxing.....
