turbine blades

I think those blades are built on the Isle of Wight? See them coming over here all the time. If they are from the IoW, then they used to be made on an industrial estate just up the road from me but I think they ran out of space and had to relocate to the IoW.

The ships that transports them from IoW to Southampton have great names ... Blade Runner and Blade Runner II :D

Is there a set limit how far away these have to be from houses?

Not that Romney marsh is any big loss:p Also do you do the ones out at sea?

trust me the locals, all 7 of them have been causing so much grief since starting this project, they are at least 1 kilometre from the 1st turbine, but they say we are disturbing them:blink: and the newts:taped: don,t start me on them bloody things:rolleyes:

each blade is 10 ton, the rest is about 100ton, and will stand around 360ft high

10 tons per blade is nothing considering the sheer size of those things!

Are those ones from the island as large as these? They're always lying next to a container ship so they look tiny when I see them down the docks :D

What happens when a builder want to decimate hundreds of acres for a housing estate then, with regards to these ecologically precious newts?

My folks have a pylon in their land and they've always maintained that they'd welcome a wind turbine over it any day. Latest argument I heard against the turbines is that they're a danger to birds that might fly into them
