Aldo87
Hi, I have just bought a double decat manifold and pipe for my 93 NA. The end of the 2nd decat pipe is 60mm and I need to buy a new cat back system aswell but they are all around 70mm for NA's. Will this work:blink:? or do i need some sort of an adapter. Any advice wanted! Thanks
couv3z
err would a garage not be able to sort this for you? or you doing it yourself?
Nic
Provided the flanges match up, it doesn't matter if the pipe diameters are different.
Aldo87
Im buying all the parts myself but ill prob be getting a friend who works at a garage to do it. I was just wanting to know if there are any more parts i would need to make it work?
Dazzi
Should be ok. The na 2nd cat is 2.5" i think. A few of the na boys put exhausts on that are designed for TT's - usually 3"

Aldo87
Thanks for the input lads i appreciate it. Im thinking about getting the blitz nur spec r for NA's......overkill with double decat?

Both cats still in is overkill. If you do get the Spec R, get the one made for na's
Max Headroom
I would keep one cat in unless you like bleeding eardrums, and want to make your neighbours like you as you set of to work early in the morning
Dazzi
My old Nur Spec R, both cats in and driven around 3k revs. Baffle in and out. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2e-0FVykvX8

SilverSoop
My thoughts exactly. I had a 2nd decat with a Blitz nur spec R exhaust on my old n/a and yes...my neighbours actually hated me and i must have literally set 3 to 4 car alarms off every morning!! One time when i was coming back from santa pod, my girlfriend said she thought she could hear me coming from a half a mile away! Although, i wasnt going slow lol... Edit: The baffle rattles in the Blitz nur spec R, so my advice would be, to leave the bugger out!!

Dazzi
loving the advice....ill give it a go and see what happens For some reason when I had mine it came out at 97db on idle with both cats still in. Going over 80mph (on a private road ftw) was like hell. I had to open the windows due to the pressure. Everything rattled and im sure I saw some screws drop out from the dash

The one iv got just now is loud low down but when i rev it, it gets quiter.
Dazzi
On idle it was loud, if you blip the throttle by 1k revs it sounded like a monster. The noise and pressure increased as the revs went up. I even got a few pops and flames out the back after a launch.

Aldo87
Designed for a TT How well did the flanges meet up if you had a tt cat back?
Dazzi
How well did the flanges meet up if you had a tt cat back? Fine, not problems at all. Not a good pic but it shows you the fitment under the car
